PTF

PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship)

PTF is designed to be a forum wherein parents and teachers can gather to discuss ways to better service the school program. Generally, the PTF is a financial support to the school, using its fund-raisers to support programs designated by the PTF. Teachers' class funds, computer development, facility improvement and new equipment, or other various programs have been at the heart of the fund-raisers in the past.

PTF sponsors bimonthly "business" meetings to discuss these various needs of the school. In addition, PTF also hosts meetings in the "off" months called "Tools for Parenting." The heart of the PTF is to not only provide for the material needs of the school, but to aid parents with practical helps in raising and educating their children. This is yet another way that the schools can partner with parents in the Christian education of their student. These "Tools for Parenting" meetings range from help with homework to practical discipline in the home.

Ø Support for Fire Victims

Ø New Chairs for the Computer Lab

Ø 15K set aside by PTF to help school families in need due to financial hard time. (This money is only used after verification of situations and is limited to 2 months worth of assistance.) Any monies not used stay in the PTF account.

Ø Money towards Drainage Repairs at the Preschool ~ $7500

Ø Purchase of the New Spanish Curriculum for Grades 1-6 ~ $5200.

Ø Two New Computes for Staff

Ø ECS Teacher/Staff Quarterly Appreciation Days

Ø Money necessary to get Picnic started

Possible Upcoming Needs:

1. Enrichment Programs – such as a Lambs Player theater group

2. New Intercom System for School. This would incorporate all outside field areas. (Recommended by Police during drills)

3. Adding Smart Boards to a few Classrooms
